Wave City, one of India’s largest smart cities on National highway 9 (24), organized a project-wide plantation drive on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The drive executed by spirited school kids, staff of Delhi Public School (DPS) Ghaziabad, Wave employees and volunteers, aimed to enhance the green cover of the project by planting 5000 flora of all varieties across its sectors 1, 6, and 7. The project already has around 3.5 lakh rupees on trees and shrubs with more than 10,000 of them being planted this year alone. An estimated 25 lakhs have been invested towards the purchase of saplings and their maintenance cost in this drive alone. The day-long drive is the largest volunteer-based plantation drive at the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participating in the event and planting a sapling on the roadside, Mr. C.J Singh, Chief Operating
Officer, Wave Infratech said \u201cWave City is a flagship project of the Wave Group, designed to provide a distinct living experience. It is a hallmark of an environment-friendly and sustainable development of hi-tech city. This mass plantation drive is yet another step in the series of efforts undertaken towards increasing the green cover of the area and ensuring a healthier environment for our much-valued residents.
