{"id":2274,"date":"2021-07-07T12:29:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T12:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.indcareer.com\/news\/?p=2274"},"modified":"2021-07-08T12:31:03","modified_gmt":"2021-07-08T12:31:03","slug":"paediatricians-train-for-probable-third-covid-wave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indcareer.com\/news\/paediatricians-train-for-probable-third-covid-wave\/","title":{"rendered":"PAEDIATRICIANS TRAIN FOR PROBABLE THIRD COVID WAVE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Aligarh, July 6:\u00a0<\/strong>As the country stares at a probable third Covid wave, the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indcareer.com\/news\/tag\/aligarh-muslim-university-amu\/\">Aligarh Muslim University<\/a> has started imparting training to its medical staff to be better prepared for future challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Paediatrics, JNMC recently completed a programme in which 16 JNMC paediatricians and seven other health workers of the District Hospital and Deen Dayal Hospital were provided with necessary hands-on skilled based training in \u2018Basic Paediatric Care in Paediatric Covid Management\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Training programme of these 23 doctors, organised by the Department of Paediatrics in collaboration with District Health Society of Aligarh in the seminar room of Department of Paediatrics has prepared paediatricians and other medical officers in Paediatric Covid ICU Care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resource persons, Prof S Manazir Ali, Dr Shaad Abqari, Dr Ayesha Ahmed, Dr Uzma Firdaus, Dr Iraj Alam, Dr Mohd Kashif, Dr Fatima Shah and Dr Adil Raza trained the participants in the skills of Triage process, Respiratory and CV assessment, Basic Life Support, Bag and Mask Ventilation and Intubation, IV Cannulation and Fluid Calculation and administration, Oxygen Delivery Devices, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Non Invasive Ventilation, Bubble CPAP, Hand Hygiene, Respiratory Hygiene, Physical Distance, PPE, Donning and Doffing, Waste Management and Equipment Handling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof S Manazir Ali, Dr Iraj Alam, Dr Uzma Firdaus, Dr Ayesha Ahmed and Dr Shaad Abqari also gave a power-point presentation on over-view of Paediatric COVID Infection, Diagnosis and Management of Children with COVID Infection, Neonatal Resuscitation of baby born to COVID 19 positive mother, Clinical and Laboratory monitoring of COVID 19 children and Multi System Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An interactive session was also held in which the resource persons answered queries of the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFrom setting up a full-fledged oxygen generation plant, to training medical staff in paediatrics and other departments, we have ensured several new changes to be better prepared for future challenges,\u201d said AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inaugurating the training programme, Prof Shahid Ali Siddiqui (JNMC Principal) spoke on the importance of training health workers for possible third Covid wave infections.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe first and second wave has taught health workers across the country an important lesson and that is to be prepared in advance for challenges,\u201d said Prof Haris M Khan Medical Superintendent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Mohd Kashif (Nodal Officer, PICU Covid-19, Department of Paediatrics) extended the vote of thanks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Public Relations Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aligarh Muslim University<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aligarh, July 6:\u00a0As the country stares at a probable third Covid wave, the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University has started imparting training to its medical staff to be better prepared for future challenges.
