Mr. Jyothi Basu Rajayyan, PhD Scholar working under the supervision of Dr MN Rajesh at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Hyderabad has joined as a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) PhD Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Modern Indian Studies (CeMIS), University of G\u00f6ttingen, Germany under the \u201cA New Passage to India III\u201d program. The first grant is from 15 October 2022 till 14 January 2023.<\/p>\n

Jyothi Basu Rajayyan<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At CeMIS, Jyothi Basu Rajayyan will be working on his Ph.D. dissertation with the support of the Modern Indian History Research group headed by Prof. Ravi Ahuja. His research interests include Gender and Labour studies, Human rights and Fisherfolks, Inequality studies, Process of Exploitation and Marginalization.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

About University of Hyderabad<\/h2>\n

The University of Hyderabad is an institute of post-graduate teaching and research. The school was established by an act of the Parliament of India in 1974 as a Central University. Over the years, it has emerged as a top ranking institute of higher education and research in India. The university also offers courses under distance learning programs.
