Their joint endeavor unveils the creation of a Center of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to generative artificial intelligence.
Unveiling a New Nexus for AI Advancements
This pioneering CoE finds its home within the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence on the IIT Delhi campus. This hub will serve as a catalyst for applied research specifically within the domain of generative AI, a sphere where AI systems generate content autonomously. The aim of this partnership is to amplify the research and development landscape for both Wipro and IIT Delhi.
Subha Tatavarti, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro, underscored the positive implications of this collaboration. She stated that the partnership will not only augment the research and development capabilities of both entities but also forge a connection to a reservoir of talent. This synergy is poised to build advanced solutions that address both existing and emerging business challenges.

The collaboration entails Wipro’s CoE teams collaborating closely with IIT Delhi to co-create innovative solutions harnessing the potential of AI and ML technologies. This initiative from Wipro harmoniously aligns with its recently unveiled $1 billion investment strategy, designed to propel advancements in AI, data analytics capabilities, and research and development endeavors over the ensuing three years.
The Head of the Yardi School of AI at IIT Delhi, Professor Mausam, highlighted the imminent benefits for students. He emphasized that through the CoE, students will gain invaluable insights into industry-relevant problems and acquire technical acumen to address them.
