Prachi Nigam, the 15-year-old who topped the Class 10 UP Board examinations with an impressive 98.5% score, has responded to online trolls who criticized her for her facial hair. In a confident and composed manner, Prachi emphasized that her academic achievements are what truly matter, not her physical appearance.
When asked about the online backlash, Prachi said, “I didn’t let it bother me. My marks are what count, not my facial hair.” She also expressed gratitude to those who supported her, saying, “I want to thank everyone who congratulated me on my achievement.”
Prachi drew inspiration from ancient Indian philosopher Chanakya, who was also criticized for his appearance. “Even Chanakya was trolled for his looks, but it didn’t affect him. Similarly, I won’t let it affect me,” she said.
The online community rallied around Prachi, condemning the trolls and expressing concern about the potential emotional impact of such comments on the teenager. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also reached out to Prachi, congratulating her on her achievement and advising her to focus on her studies and ignore the negativity.
Prachi’s response to the trolls has earned her widespread admiration and respect, with many praising her confidence, resilience, and commitment to her academic goals.
