Unveiling Gender Gap in Educational Performance: Evidence from India |

Dr. Kuldeep Singh Nagi, Research Scholar School of Economics University of Hyderabad (UoH) along with his supervisor, Dr. G Sridevi, has published a paper titled “Unveiling Gender Gap in Educational Performance: Evidence from India ”in The Indian Economic Journal, SAGE.

The article aims to find out whether gender differences are present in educational outcomes. The results implicate that gender, time to study, social background, mother’s education, expenditure on education, and years of education significantly affect the performance of children. The study also shows that the majority of the gender gap in performance is explained by the children’s BMI.
