Prof. BJ Rao, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad on 11th April, 2022 on the occasion of Mahatma Jyothiba Phule 195th Jayanthi released the Routledge Handbook of Other Backward Classes in India: Thought, Movement and Development (2022). Prof. E. Venkatesu, Department of Political Science, has contributed a chapter on ‘Politics and Public Policies of the Dominant Castes towards Backward Classes in Andhra Pradesh-A Critical Analysis from 1956-2014’.
The book is collection of contributions by the eminent scholars like Christophe Jeffrelot, Gail Omvedt, Kancha Ilaiah, Bharathpatankar, Anil Kumar Verma, Sanjakumar etc. It is part of the research project funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research. Altogether, there are 28 chapters in the book.
