Linga Murthy placed 6th in LIBS 2022 |

Linga Murthy, Ph.D. Scholar in the Advanced Centre of Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM), School of Physics, University of Hyderabad (UoH) achieved 6th place globally in the LIBS 2022 quantification contest, online, in the XII international conference on Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy held at Bari, ITALY.

Mr. Murthy is working under the guidance of Prof. Soma Venugopal Rao. The task was to predict the chromium, manganese, molybdenum, and nickel content in the sample from the laser-induced breakdown spectra. In the analysis, artificial neural networks (ANN) combined with principal component analysis (PCA) were used.
