KLS Cultural Team Organizes Orientation Ceremony

The Cultural Team of the KIIT Law School (KLS) comprising Korale Music Society, Kalandhika Theatre Society and Junks Dance Society collectively organized an Orientation Ceremony on 23rd January, 2022. The event was conducted to induce the talented sophomores of KLS on the various societies falling under the cultural wing and their functioning. This event showcased the pool of talent each society has through their songs, musical instruments, impromptu acts and dance. The event was graced by the Senior Professors and Faculty Professors of KLS.

Prof. (Dr.) Bhavani Prasad Panda, Director, KLS was delighted to see such a diversified pool of talent. He explained the need for co-curricular activities in the academic institutions and promised to extend a helping hand to organize cultural events. Associate Professor, Mrs. Paromita Chattoraj and Faculty Coordinators, Mrs. Manisha Manaswini and Mr. Yogesh Mishra spoke on the occasion.

Ms. Manasi Sridhar and Ms. Shwata Subhra Bhunia, Members of Korale Music Society started the event by extending a warm welcome to all the dignitaries, sophomores and colleagues. The session had a beautiful music video introducing Korale Music Society, followed by a mesmerizing song by Ms. Soumya Bhal, Convenor of Korale Music Society. Mr. Shabarna Choudhury, Co-Convener inspired everyone with a quote from a famous American Musician and Songwriter Billy Joel.

Mr. Ayush Biswal and Ms. Toshali Dey, Member of Kalandhika Theater Society presented an introductory video of the Society. Ms. Kohelica Nag, one of the senior most members of the society, performed a mono-act. Mr. Ashutosh Sahu, Convenor of the Kalandhika Society shared his thoughts and achievements of the society. Lastly, there was an interesting performance by Ms. Gauri Patel and Mr. Aman Priyadarshi, Member of Kalandhika Society.

Ms. Prajna Priyadarshini and Ms. D. Bhagyashree, Members of Junks Dance Society presented the introduction video of the Junks Dance Crew that gave a glimpse of their exceptionally talented members from every forte of dance. It was followed by the dance performances by Mr. Mrigank Vaidik, Co-convenor of the Society. Ms. Shipra Das and Ms. Anoushka Roy, Senior Members put up a graceful performance with their duo named ‘Spice and Grace’. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Shibansu Dash, Representative of the Cultural Team.
