KIIT Film Society, functioning at KSAC, in collaboration with Celluloid, the Film Society of Miranda House, organized a two-day workshop on cinematography, “Behind the Screens”, on 12th – 13th March 2022. The event featured interactive sessions between the guests and the participants on cinematography and their love for films.
The first segment of the workshop had a student-led session on the basics of cinematography. It was conducted by Sirshendu Chaudhari from KIIT Film Society and Ananya Gupta from Celluloid. The hosts explained the Basics of Cinematography and answered questions from the participants. In the second segment, professional cinematographer, Mr. Arjun Kukreti talked about the technical aspects of cinematography and his personal experiences working on different projects. The talk followed an interactive and Q&A session.
On the concluding day of the workshop, Mr. Manish Nihalani shared about the importance of details in a profession like cinematography and his own experience working on documentaries and how it is different from working in a film.
It was a very informative and interactive workshop where all questions on cinema and cinematography were answered by a set of professional artists. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director, Student Services, KIIT also spoke on the occasion.
