Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) in association with the University of Genova, University of Toronto, NSS Wing-KIDS, and IDA Temple City Branch, Bhubaneswar organized KIDS Webcon-2022, an exclusive International Dental Conference, from 28th – 30th July 2022 to celebrate the Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav.
One of the first virtual International Dental Conferences in India, KIDS Webcon was a unique online conference where the topics of guest lecturers were designed meticulously for comprehensive updated knowledge delivery to the participants. As many as 26 eminent speakers from the different specialties of Dental Sciences delivered their lectures at the conference. More than 300 delegates from across the country had registered, while 750 participants joined the live broadcasting of the conference on the Zoom meet application.
More than 260 scientific papers and posters were presented by different researchers at an online portal during the three-day conference which was well appreciated by different scientific chairpersons. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Dr. Kajal Parashar, Dy. Director, CEC, Programme Coordinator, KIIT NSS Bureau, and other eminent speakers of the event.
In his welcome address, Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Admin.), KIDS & Chief Conference Coordinator informed about the great vision of Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, and his commendable ideology of the Art of Giving. International speakers, Dr. Bennete Fernandes from Malaysia, Dr. Francesco Pera, Dr. Maria Menini, Dr. Paolo Pasce & Dr. Paolo Pera from the University of Genova, and Dr. Limor Avivi – Arber from the University of Toronto, delivered their guest lectures on advanced implantology and neurovascular disorders.
From India, Dr. Samdesh Mayekar (the dental surgeon of Bollywood), Dr. Vandana K L, Dr. Shalini Kapoor, Dr. Shallu Bansal, Dr. Shalu Bathla, Dr. Rameshwari Singhal, and other eminent speakers delivered talks about the recent development and advanced treatment protocols in Dental Sciences.
Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Chief Scientific Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. The Chief Organizer of the Conference, Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Assistant Director (Admin) along with the organizing team of KIDS Webcon Season 2, Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar, Principal, Dr. Sangamesh NC, Vice Principal, and Dr. Md.
