The School of Education (SOE) of Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is organising a two-day National Webinar entitled ‘Reinventing Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education in Pursuance of NEP,2020: Concerns and Future Prospects’ on 5th-6th June,2021. The webinar is being organised by the SOE under the aegis of Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Training (PMMMNMTT ) scheme of the Government of India (GoI).
The inaugural session will be chaired by the Vice Chancellor, JMI and Chief Patron of the webinar Prof. Najma Akhtar. The key note address will be given by Prof. J.S. Rajput, former Chairperson NCERT and NCTE.
Significantly, a galaxy of educationists which include former Vice Chancellors, chairpersons and co-chairpersons of NCTE, Deans of various Faculties of Education, Heads of the departments and experts in the field from a number of universities across the country will give their deliberations on different themes in the webinar.
Prof. Aejaz Masih, the Nodal Officer of SOE and the convener of the webinar hoped that the concrete suggestions that would be offered by these stalwarts of education during the webinar would shape National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education. He expressed his pleasure that JMI has taken a great initiative to organize this important event.
