IIT Kanpur Introduces Four New eMasters Degree Programs Without GATE Scores
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has unveiled four new online postgraduate programs covering various domains, including climate finance and sustainability, renewable energy and e-mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and business leadership in the digital age. A notable feature of these programs is that they do not require Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores for admission.
Applications for the inaugural session, scheduled for January, are now open, and the deadline for applications is October 31. Interested candidates can apply through the official website at emasters.iitk.ac.in.
IIT Kanpur is also launching new sessions for its existing eMasters programs. Applications are invited for new cohorts in Data Science and Business Analytics, Financial Technology and Management, Business Finance, Financial Analysis, Public Policy, Next Generation Wireless Technologies, Cyber Security, as well as Power Sector Regulation, Economics, and Management.
Here’s a brief overview of the newly introduced programs:
- Climate Finance and Sustainability: This program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial strategies and sustainable initiatives related to climate finance.
- Renewable Energy and e-Mobility: Designed to cater to the evolving alternative energy sector, this program covers renewable energy sources and electric mobility.
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Geared toward professionals looking to excel in the rapidly evolving field of AI and machine learning.
- Business Leadership in the Digital Age: Focused on upskilling professionals in modern business dynamics in the digital era.
These programs offer flexibility in completion time, ranging from one to three years, to accommodate diverse schedules. They feature live interactive classes held exclusively on weekends, complemented by self-paced learning modules. Each program comprises a 60-credit, 12-module curriculum tailored to industry needs.
The faculty and researchers at IIT Kanpur will lead these programs, providing expertise for real-world applications. Participants may also benefit from credit transfer options, potentially waiving up to 60 credits for future higher education pursuits, such as MTech or PhD programs at IIT Kanpur.
Additionally, the programs grant access to IIT Kanpur’s placement and incubation cells, as well as its extensive alumni network, enhancing career growth and networking opportunities. Participants may also visit IIT Kanpur’s campus, interact with esteemed faculty, and engage with seasoned professionals, ultimately earning the distinguished IIT Kanpur alumni status.
Importantly, the eMasters programs at IIT Kanpur confer senate-approved eMasters degrees at convocation, rather than diplomas or certificates.
