IIM Indore signed an MoU with the state university of New Jersey (Rutgers) for development of joint and dualdegree programmes and collaboration for student and faculty exchange.
IIM-Indore director Prof Himanshu Rai signed the MoU with Rutgers University academic affairs executive vicepresident Prabhas V Moghe and global affairs vice president Professor Eric GarfunkelProfessor Rai said the MoU will strengthen ties between both the institutions, thereby encouraging student andfaculty exchange. ‘We are delighted to sign this MoU with Rutgers—one amongst America’s highest-rankeduniversities. We will collaborate for exchange of students & developing joint degree programs, and exchange offaculty & joint collaborative research.”Valid for a period of five years, this MoU would also help exchange best academic practices and develop newerareas of management’, he said.
He also welcomed Professor Ashwani Monga, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of Rutgers UniversityNewark on the International Advisory Board of IIM Indore, that has renowned academic and corporate leadersfrom around the world.
Professor Garfunkel said that both the institutions will cooperate for various programmes, joint PhDs orguidance for PhDs and will involve cooperation in efforts to commercialise technologies developed at both theinstitutions in ways that are mutually beneficial.
