The Department of Higher Education has initiated a comprehensive assessment of degree colleges and Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs), soliciting an in-depth report detailing the existing infrastructure within these institutions.

In her correspondence, Snigdha Chamaptiray, the Joint Secretary to the government of Odisha, articulated that the aim behind this request is to elevate the campus ambiance and enrich the overall learning journey.

The letter conveyed, “The primary objective of the assessment is to gain a thorough understanding of the current state of physical facilities available at the institutions, improvements required, potential challenges, and opportunities that can help to strategically plan for the enhancement of our campus environment and overall learning experience for students all over the State.”

Consequently, the letter directed the college principals and governing bodies or management committees to assess the available infrastructure and identify any essential requisites. The information is to be submitted through a Google sheet format, which will be disseminated to their respective college email addresses for further action.

The letter underscores that the comprehensive details should be entered into the Google sheet by August 14th, allowing a concerted effort to ensure that all necessary aspects are captured for a comprehensive evaluation.
