KIIT School of Civil Engineering (KSCE) organized a Virtual Alumni Meet for 2010 pass out batch on 3rd April 2022. The meet was attended by 42 alumni and 50 students. Welcoming the alumni and students to the meet, Dr. Sanjib Moulick, Dean, KSCE highlighted the key technological and academic progress the School has made ever since. Dr. Benu Gopal Mohapatra, Director, University Consultancy Services presented the consultancy activities of the School in the recent past.
The alumni described their experiences, which were of great learning importance for the students. Mr. Karamvir Choudhury advised the juniors to take their studies seriously as that may prove to be the pivotal axis in their careers. Mr. Jyoti Ranjan Mishra, who is one of the youngest entrepreneurs of Odisha, shared how important it is to have a planned future and to take things one at a time. Ms. Supriya Mohanty, who is working in a consultancy firm, remembered her college days and told her juniors to focus on practical as well as theoretical topics thoroughly.
Mr. Shibashis Kar, Mr. Kapil Agarwal, Mr. Subesh Rath, and Ms. Chinmayee Ray expressed their gratitude towards the college and teachers for guiding them so well and playing a vital role in achieving their current work position. Mr. Smruti Saurav Mohapatra, Assistant Professor in IIT Dhanbad, explained how important it is to make the basic concepts clear before tackling the advanced part. Mr. Bikram Prasad, Mr. Sanjeev, Mr. Sumit Sarangi, and Mr. Anand Sharma suggested the School introduce new subjects in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS Technology.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Aparupa Pani, FIC Alumni, KSCE. The meet was anchored by Mr. Harshit Kishlay and Ms. Shubhra Sharma.
