Optical mark recognition ( OMR ) exam forms saves time of Maharashtra State Board of secondary and higher education. Work efficiency has increased and number of days required for completion of work has decreased drastically.

There are also plans to accept fee payments online which will reduce their work and will need less man power. The remaining work force can then concentrate on other work and thus the whole department will function efficiently.

    UP board exams for class 10th and 12th standard students has been rescheduled from 1st March 2012 to 16th March and exams will conclude on 20th April 2012. Dates were revised due to clash of examination dates with election dates. Sanjay Mohan ,UP Higher Secondary Education Board chairman took the decision to help teachers rest who will be involved in UP election work. The Class X examinations will get over by 2nd April, while the Class XII examinations will continue till 20th April 2012.

  • Sports to be introduced as a separate subject in Maharashtra State Secondary Education Board

    The Maharashtra State Secondary Education Board has decided to introduce sports as a separate subject in HSC and SSC. The new subject will be named “ Sports and Physical Education” and will be optional to SSC and HSC students in the academic year 2012 - 2013. The valuable 25 marks which is awarded to students participating actively in sports was being misused by a lot of other students who wanted to gain those 25 marks to increase rank. The proposal is still pending with the government.
