India's largest conference E-India 2011 to be hosted at Gujarat

India's largest conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to be hosted at Gandhinagar, Gujarat between 14 th to 16 th December 2011. The conference is organized jointly by Department of Science and Technology ( DST) & the Gujarat government.

Participants include Bureaucrats, Corporate leaders and experts. There will be sessions on E governance, Education and Health.

A three-day 69 th All India Commerce conference was organized by the faculty of Commerce of the University of Lucknow in collaboration with Indian Commerce Association. The theme of the conference was Start-Up India: Opportunities and Challenges .

    The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani has received the prestigious "Excellence in ICT integration" award by Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) during the first “FICCI Higher Education Awards 2014”ceremony heldon November 13, 2014 at New Delhi, as a part of the FICCI Higher Education Summit 2014.     Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India, while addressing the Conference of Vice Chancellors of Central Universities (CUs) at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Feb 6th, 2014, stressed that Central Universities can be a very good platform for innovative ideas. He also said that Education is no longer just the privilege of the elite, but a universal right. The Vice Chancellors of 40 Central Universities where the President is the Visitor are attending this Conference. He said that India can be a world leader in education if we are able to harness the full petential of our education system.

    S S Mantha, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) attended the 60th Convocation of Gujarat University as chief Guest. Mantha urged the university to go beyond books and educate students in extracurricular activities too. More than 60,000 students were awarded certificates which was embedded with a micro chip containing all information about the student.
