1 Lakh+ students from all over India participate in Gurushala National Aptitude Test

New Delhi, September 30 2021: Gurushala is an initiative of Vodafone Idea Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd., implemented by Pratham Education Foundation organized the Gurushala National Aptitude Test for students from classes 6 to 10. Gurushala caters to students from remotest locations of Maharashtra to Nagaland who attempted the test and thus triumphed to have reached out to more than 1 Lakh students for the final test which was conducted class wise across three days on 28, 29 and 30th September. The paper was available in more than 5 languages including Telugu, Bengali etc. 

G-NAT undertook mock test series on 20 August and 15 September to prepare the students with format of the paper, time limit and as well to work on their primary subjects to perform better in the final G-NAT test. The registration of G-NAT was launched 1 month back which led to 80,000+ registrations over a span of time while more than 1 Lakh students completed the test on the specific dates of their exams! The tests for classes 6-10 were divided across three days based on their classes and subject. All 3 days the test was open for 1 hours 30minutes only for students with the test beginning at 10 AM on all three days. The maximum participation was noted from Class 10 students in comparison to other classes.

It was created with fluidity and easy accessibility to students. Students even with 2G connection would be able to attempt the test as it was curated with attention to detail and easy access to all. 

This test is aimed to bridge the gap which was widened during the pandemic period where school teachers faced a lot of challenges in mapping the students with the self-learning at home with utmost guidance thus the test will help teachers to guide their students better based on their performance on the aptitude. The test will assist teachers in creating individualized learning academic plans for students and help students understand their students present aptitude and then the approach on which subjects the students should work on to enhance not only his content knowledge but also his academic performance. 

The test will now focus on guiding the students to adapt to enhance their scores and their learning styles as well as to be a better student today than yesterday. The next stage would be engagement with every specific student and making sure to engage with attention to improvement at every student, teacher and school level.
