Reservation Criteria

Reservation to a different category of candidates of Puducherry U.T. for admission to the Post-graduate courses is given below. Further, SC/BT/EBC/MBC/BCM/OBC candidates are also eligible for selection under Open competition/General category in addition to the reservations made to them.

Candidates claiming admission under these categories should enclose the recent community / caste certificate issued by an Officer of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates should fulfil following eligibility criteria:
- Minimum educational qualification is a Bachelor Degree in any biological sciences (Zoology, Botany/ Plant Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Radiography, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Medical Lab. Technology or its equivalent) from any recognised University.

- The minimum age should be 20 years as on 31st December 2016; maximum age is 35 years as on 31st July 2016.

- The downloaded application form should be filled up by the candidate in his / her own handwriting and duly signed by the candidate. No other form of application is permitted.

- The filled in Application form with self-attested passport size photograph, pasted on the space provided, shall be considered with self-attested copies of necessary certificates and Demand Draft for application fee (Candidate shall write their name behind the DD) drawn from any Nationalised Bank, in favour of “THE DEAN, MTPG& RIHS” for application fee. Demand draft and other enclosures can be stapled / tagged together with the application form. Fee Details

Candidates who have not received the original mark statement of the qualifying examination (University) may enclose the printed version of the online mark statement / copy of the result duly attested by the Principal/ Head/Authorized person of the respective Institution.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on the merit list drawn from the marks obtained in the MTIET(Dip)-16 Entrance Examination conducted exclusively for these diploma courses.
Note: In case of tie in the merit marks, TIE BREAKING will in the following order:
I – Aggregate mark percentage in the qualifying examination.
II- Aggregate mark percentage in the final year examination.
III – Date of Birth: Seniority will be given preference.
