About PG Program in Public Policy and Governance
- MIT-WPU’s School of Public Policy and Governance is happy to launch a Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Public Policy in academia partnership with KPMG in India, which is a leading consulting firm in the domain of public policy and governance. KPMG is proactively involved in major reform programmes in India driven both at the central and state levels. They work as advisors and implementers of some of the largest programmes in the country that include ‘Swachh Bharat’ (Clean India), ‘Make in India’, ‘Ease of Doing Business’, ‘Smart Cities’, ‘Digital India’ and ‘Skill India’, amongst others.
- The program would be delivered in a blended mode, involving one-week classroom training per Trimester at the MIT-WPU Campus, Pune (i.e., total three weeks of on-campus training over a period of 11 months), while the remaining curriculum would be delivered through an online mode.
- KPMG in India will assist MIT-WPU for preparing course structure, providing study material and making suitable faculties available for delivering approximately 150 hours of training, covering a portion of the subjects, viz. Catalysts for Policy Formulation, Research Methodology, Digital Governance , Drafting of Public Policy and Governance, Budgeting & Financial Modelling, Urban Policy & Development Administration, Policy Implementation Monitoring & Impact Evaluation and Capstone Project
- School of Public Policy and Governance would also organize invited talks of eminent policy experts from India & abroad, decorated civil servants, representatives of multilateral organisations, leading consultants and members of think-tanks. During the academic program, the students will be supported for internship with various policy think tanks.

Eligibility Criteria
- Graduates and Postgraduates from any recognized university with min 50% aggregate and those appearing for final year graduation examinations can apply for the program.
Selection Criteria
- Eligible Applicants will be selected on an interview basis. The objective of interview is to assess the applicants for their aptitude and inclination towards public policy.
