About B.I.D Program (Bachelor of Interior Design)

• MIT-WPU offers a 4yr year full-time undergraduate degree in Interior Design, awarding a Bachelor of Interior Design, B.I.D. Within this programs, while the students are driven to make creative abilities their forte, the curriculum also urges them to do so responsibly and stay relevant to the times. Through this program, we progressively involve students to imbibe world-class design expertise effectively balancing vocational and theoretical learning. This is facilitated by our student-centric approach and innovative pedagogy involving active learning, real-life problems posed through problem/project based learning and industry interactions developed over the last four decades at MIT-WPU. Further, personal mentoring and personality development through value-based peace modules, national and international level exposure at MIT-WPU provides students with a unique and enriching experience
• Interior Design (ID) is concerned with designing architectural spaces and related furnishings suitable to the preferences of the people living inside and appropriate to the environmental context. Design/choice of appropriate pieces and decoratives is an essential part of the profession.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate should have passed 10+2 from science, Commerce, Arts & Humanities etc. (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB Diploma (of the International Baccalaureate office, Geneva, Switzerland), IGCSE (University of Cambridge) or their equivalent as can be stated/or established by Association of Indian Universities(AIU), www.aiuweb.org)) securing aggregate 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only), Candidate who have their 10+2 results pending will be provisionally admitted subject to the furnishing the certificates when available. Candidates should have also qualified in MIT-WPU Design Aptitude Test(DAT) 2021 or obtained a positive score in UCEED 2021.

Selection Criteria

Inter-se-merit based on score in MIT-WPU UGPET DAT (Design Aptitude Test) 2022 and PI

• MIT-WPU UGPET DAT (Design Aptitude Test) 2022 – Online proctored entrance exam – 100 marks and
• Personal Interview – 50 marks

Note: The UCEED 2022 based admissions and MIT-WPU UGPET DAT admissions are for 50% and 50% of the B.Des. seats respectively
