About M.Sc (Maths/Stastics)
- The Master of Science Program from MIT-WPU is two years, post graduate program meant for two distinct groups of students, namely the professionals wishing to update their industry-related skills for career advancement and students who are considering a research degree. The course contains a compulsory core of professional subjects relevant to all science disciplines. The subjects in the core provide a backbone of skills important to professionals; be they get engaged in research, science businesses, industries or government organizations. The program involves skills of communication, critical analysis, project management and innovations. The professional strand is complemented by a choice of major study in a specific science discipline. Students are exposed to multi-disciplinary coursework, with multiple lecture series and practical implementation of the same. The program also includes 3 month industry internship.
- With a combination of industry-relevant training and academic rigor, you would learn what matters & gain on extensive knowledge of the most recent research in the specialized science discipline of your choice; and also develop your own skills which will help you in your professional career.

Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc Mathematics
B.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (CS), B.Sc. (Statistics) with Mathematics as a compulsory subject up to second year, BE/B.Tech. from any stream Student must be passed from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks (45% marks aggregate in case of candidate backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to MH state only)
M.Sc Statistics
B.Sc (Statistics) with 50% marks. (45% marks aggregate in case of candidate backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only)
Selection Criteria
- Inter-se-merit based on score in MIT-WPU PGPET 2022 and PI
- Step 1) MIT-WPU PGPET General 2022 – Online proctored entrance exam – 100 marks and
- Step 2) Personal Interview – 50 marks
