About BSc (Hons) Economics
- MIT-WPU’s Bachelor of Economics is a three year full time honors program wherein aspirants gain expertise in numerical, analytical and problem solving skills – which can be applied in real life in the areas of business planning, marketing, research and management. MIT-WPU BSc (Hons) Economics program introduces you to a diverse, fascinating discipline that addresses a range of big issues in the fields of trade and economics, and plays a central role in shaping the broad framework of business society at every level. It provides undergraduate training in theoretical and applied aspects of modern economics, econometrics and financial economics. Although primarily interested in explaining the behaviour of individuals, economics also addresses the collective behaviour of businesses and industries, governments and countries, and the globe as a whole. The discipline is crucial to understanding and solving the major problems and challenges the world faces today, such as global warming, poverty, development, and recession.
- In the program, apart from learning real life applicable knowledge, you will also get a chance to interact with prominent industry names, who come to campus for guest lectures and one to one sessions to share their experiences. The entirety of the program helps you to develop a professional training in Economics with industrial & real life applications.

Eligibility Criteria
- HSC with English from any stream with min 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) or 2/3 year MSBTE approved Diploma or equivalent
Selection Criteria
- Inter-se-merit based on score in MIT-WPU UGPET 2022 and PI
- Step 1) MIT-WPU UGPET General – Online proctored entrance exam – 100 marks and
- Step 2) Personal Interview – 50 marks
