MIT Institute of Design notifies UG & PG Programmes Admissions 2016

MIT Institute of Design (MITID), Pune invites applications for admissions to UG & PG Programmes for the academic year 2016 - 17.

UG & PG Programmes is conducted by MIT Institute of Design (MITID), Pune.

Fashion Design
The Institute offers following programmes in Collaboration with University for the Creative Arts (UK)
=> BA (Hons) Fashion Design
=> BA (Hons) Fashion promotion & Imaging
=> M.Des Fashion Design
=> MBA Fashion Management & Marketing

Intake:

1. Under Graduate Programme : 200 seats
2. Post Graduate Programme : 120 seats
3. BA (Hons) Fashion programmes : 60 seats
4. M.Des Fashion Design : 15 seats
5. MBA Fashion Management & Marketing : 15 seats

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

Under Graduate Programme
=> 10+2 from any stream. (HSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB)

Post Graduate Programme
=> Post Graduate Programme Graduate from any stream 10+2+3 (minimum).

Application Procedure:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.

=> The candidate has to fill the online application form available on the website and submit a duly filled hard copy of the form at the institute address mentioned below preferably by speed post before 31st January 2016 along with a demand draft of ₹ 3000 /- in favour of “MIT ID PUNE” drawn on Pune branch as fees for Design Aptitude Test.

=> The Design Aptitude test fees can also be paid online while filling up of the form.

=> The incomplete application forms / not satisfying eligibility criteria will be rejected. The MITID Design Aptitude Test (MITID-DAT) fees (₹ 3,000/-) for rejected applications will not be refunded.

The admission process is in two phases :

Phase - 1: MITID-DAT (Design Aptitude Test) conducted at various centres across the country.
Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be conducted on 3rd April 2016 (Tentative) between 10 AM to 1 PM at various test centres across India.(Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune)
MITID reserves its right to change or cancel any of these centres.
Based on scores obtained from MITID-DAT, shortlisted candidates will be called for the second phase.

Phase – 2: Studio Test and Personal Interview at MITID campus in Pune.
The second phase of the admission procedure will consist of studio tests followed by personal interviews at Institute in Pune.
The list of shortlisted candidates for the Second Phase will be announced on MITID website.

Selection Process:

Admission is on the basis of MITID method of selection, which extends beyond the students previous academic qualifications.
