    HRD Ministry launches Anti-Ragging website

    Human Resource Department has launched a website to tackle the ragging menace that occur every year whenever new academic session starts. Engineering and Medical colleges record highest number of ragging cases. And some extreme cases, the victims face physical abuses,sometimes leading to death. The Central government has zero-tolerance policy towards ragging since long and have been very active in controlling ragging in major institutes of India. Now going a step further, HRD ministry has come up with a website where students directly can sent their reports.

    Shena Aggarwal tops UPSC Civil Services exam 2011

    Shena Aggarwal, who holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here, has topped the UPSC Civil Services examination. Shena Aggarwal is from Delhi. Rukmini Riar secured second place. Prince Dhawan came third. Prince Dhawan has completed Master of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2011 was conducted on June 12. As many as 4,72,290 candidates applied for this examination, out of which 2,43,003 wrote the test.

    Students can now download All India Pre-medical / Pre-Dental Test 2012 admit cards online from these websites www.cbse.nic.in or www.aipmt.nic.in If the application status of candidate shows not received or Please contact CBSE before 21st March 2012 then students should call them and inquire about their problem. Students contacting CBSE must mention details of their application, such as post office, date of dispatch, original receipt of postal dispatch, photostat copy of confirmation page and demand draft, and two photographs as pasted on the confirmation page.

    High tech cheating by Android cell phones for qualifying entrance examination of Elite Public Postgraduate Medical Schools

    Two MBA graduates pretended to be candidates for the entrance exam for Elite Public Postgraduate Medical Schools tried innovative cheating technique. They used android phones to capture question paper images and send them through email to a person answering the questions. Their could listen to answers through wireless ear plugs. This high tech cheating was just the same as displayed in Munna Bhai MBBS. Police was able to catch the accused after knowing about the incidence from a student who could not afford the high tech cheating because of lack of money.

    CBSE announced date of AIPMT entrance examination

    Central Board of Secondary examination (CBSE) has announced the date of All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT). The prelims will be held on 1st April 2012 and the main exam on 13th April 2012. This step was taken by CBSE due to postponement of NEET-UG ( National Eligibility cum entrance test for undergraduates). The AIPMT exam syllabus, exam centers and question pattern of the exam will remain exactly the same as it was in 2011.

  • Medical Council of India (MCI) requested to pass Schedule caste students

    Medical Council of India has been requested by Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University of Lucknow to grant MBBS degree to repeatedly failing Schedule caste students. The university conducted extra classes and even hired external examiners for the failed students but still they were not able to clear the exam. The Lucknow university has requested Medical Council of India to grant MBBS degrees to these failed students without conducting any further examination.
