Neuroscience is the study of how the nervous system develops, its structure, and what it does. Neuroscientists study about the brain and its impact on cognitive functions and behaviour.

Neuroscientists does research on patients and on laboratory animals including rats and mice while Neurologists are physicians who diagnose and treat neurological diseases in human beings.

Neuroscientists specialize in the study of the brain and the nervous system. They strive for a deeper understanding of how the brain’s 100 billion nerve cells are born, grow, and connect. Neuroscientists study how these brain cells organize themselves into effective, functional circuits that keeps working till the end of our life.

Neurology works with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems, for example amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and stroke, and their medical treatment.
