Under the aegis of The Sikh Education Society, Gurunanak Technical Institute (Diploma in Pharmacy) was established in the year of 1983. The main aim of starting this D.Pharm course was to promote the self employement among the youth and hence to help in reducing unemployement. Since then the Gurunanak Technical institute by offering highly qualified faculty and quality infrastructure and facilities has been a reference standard for many other institutes running similar courses.

Placements

Practice of pharmacy can only be learnt when students are given exposure to industry. To complete the mandatory requirement of 8-week industrial training at Pharmaceutical industry, the “Training and Placement Cell” of Gurunanak College of Pharmacy helps students acquire training to industry located at their preferred location.

The Placement Cell takes care that students are guided to explore their likings during their B. Pharm & M.Pharm tenure and follow a correct path that would lead to their dream destination. Pharmaceutical Industry personnel keep visiting the campus for placement interviews and choose candidates they find fit for the job. Students are guided for improving their skills so that they are fit according to requirement of the jobs on offer.
