The Lingaya's University has been named after a great freedom fighter and writer "Late Shri Lingaya Gadde". After India attained freedom Late Shri Lingaya Gadde devoted the rest of his life in working of the upliftment of the Society. He believed that better citizens could be made by imparting knowledge to them i.e.why he wrote several books on social causes and even translated novels written by Sarat Chandra into his own mother tongue telegu. So that people could understand and appreciate Late Shri Lingaya Gadde's vision Lingaya's Jankalyan Shikshan Sansthan was setup. The society worked upon imparting professional education in Northern India as well as took up the responsibility for developing rural areas.
Setting up of LIMAT in the year 1998 a step towards achiving the mission of Lingaya's Jankalyan Shikshan Sansthan. The University has been setup in a rural area of Haryana. All the members of management are experienced in various fields and have given their contribution in the establishment of the prestigious Institution.
Prof V.K.Sinha who is the Chairman of the college has been associated with management of Human and Physical Resources both in Service and Educational Sectors. His experience in the field has been complimentary to the service in Education. He has gained valuable experience in managing resources, setting up labs and workshops and even in planning and organizing schemes for developement, purchase and control of equipment in educational institutions. His experience was utilised by Department of Technical Education, Delhi & AICTE, Delhi. His efforts as a chairperson of the institute has been very clear as he has stood up as a model for students as well as his clear vision for growth of faculty and institution has helped in further planning for developement of this Institute. The Secretary Mr. Picheswar Gadde has been associated with various colleges in South. It inspired him to establish a college with a similar conduct in North India as well.So that the management could work upon the upliftment of the society, education altogether in north and south india.
