Department of Islamic Studies

The Department of Islamic Studies has enjoyed a distinct position of having one of the best Islamic and West Asian studies programmes in the South India. Notable luminaries in the field of Islamic and Kerala History such as Prof. A. P. Ibrahim Kunju, Dr. C. K. Kareem and Prof. K. T. Mohammed Ali have associated with the Department. Students trained in the Department have moved on to work in educational institution, government positions, political positions and other fields of public life.
