Kanara College Society, Kumta, established in the year 1949, pioneering Education Society in the field of higher education in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka State justifiably takes pride in having started a Polytechnic in the year 1985. Indeed, it is a new and glittering feather in its already bedecked cap with an Arts and Science College, a Commerce College and a college of Education.
