Kakatiya University, Warangal, is inviting applications for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program for the upcoming academic year.
Admission to the MCA program at Kakatiya University, Warangal for the 2023-24 academic year is through the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET). This exam was conducted on May 26 and 27, 2023. The exam results were declared on June 29, 2023.
Kakatiya University initiated its MCA program in 1993 with support from the University Grants Commission (UGC). Subsequently, programs such as M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Information Systems), B.C.A., and PGDCA were also introduced.
In 2001, a dedicated Department of Informatics was established, equipped with its placement cell. Several multinational companies have visited the department to select candidates. The department continually updates its curriculum to align with the latest trends in the IT industry.

Admission Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- 50% or more marks in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science in the bachelor’s degree
- Graduates with a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related subjects are eligible for admission even if they have scored less than 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree.
Admission Process
- Qualify in TSICET exam.
- Eligible candidates can submit online application for admission.
- Application fee: ₹500
- Last date for submission of application form: July 20, 2023
Application Form
The application form can be downloaded from the Kakatiya University website. The filled-in application form along with copies of qualifying certificates should be sent to the university.
Selection Process
Applicants will be selected based on their rank in TSICET exam. Majority of the seats will be filled based on TSICET rank. The remaining seats will be allotted based on academic merit.
