Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) announces Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM) Admission 2016

Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) invites applications for admissions to Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM) for the academic year 2016 - 18.

Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM) is conducted by Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA).

About course:

FPRM is a coursework-based doctoral level programme with a residency requirement of minimum 3 years, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

(a) Sustainable Livelihoods
(b) Natural Resources Management
(c) Microfinance Management
(d) Rural Infrastructure and Services Management
(e) Corporate Social Responsibility
(f) Social Entrepreneurship
(g) Management of Rural and Agribusiness Enterprises
(h) Governance and State Policy
(i) Collectives and its Governance
(j) Development and State Policies
(k) Studies on Rural-Urban Dynamics.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

To be eligible for admission to the FPRM 2016 Programme an applicant must satisfy one of the following conditions:
a) PGDRM from IRMA
b) PGDRDM from IRMA with one year post diploma work experience
c) Post graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution with 55% marks at PG and 50% marks at Graduation (college) level
d) Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks and at least one-year work experience
e) Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least three years’ work experience
f) Applicants having a valid score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.)

Application Procedure:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. IndCareer.com published details for informational purpose.

An applicant can opt for one of the following options:
a. Apply online and pay through the payment gateway.

b. Make payment at any branch of IMS learning centre, after getting IMS receipt, apply only through IRMA website by using IMS receipt number.

c. Take a print out of SBI challan available on IRMA website in the admission link. Make payment at any branch of SBI by using the challan. SBI would then issue a unique ID number. Use this unique ID number and apply online through IRMA website.

d. Printed application material (prospectus, application form, sample question paper etc.) can be obtained from Admissions Office, IRMA, Anand - 388 001 on payment of full fees.

e. Application fees will be waived for applicants belonging to “Below Poverty Line (BPL)” families. Such applicants may apply online or send a request by post or courier for an application form to the Admissions Office, IRMA with the photocopy of self-attested latest proof of “Below Poverty Line (BPL)” status issued by the appropriate authority to get an exemption from paying application fees. IRMA will send printed material (prospectus, application form, sample question paper etc.) to such applicants. If applying online then the applicants are required to send hard copy of application form with the photocopy of self-attested latest proof of “Below Poverty Line (BPL)” status issued by the appropriate authority to get an exemption from paying application fees at Admissions Office, IRMA. Failure to attach the latest proof of “BPL” status will lead to rejection of the application.

Applicants can download the prospectus of PRM 2016 - 18 and FPRM 2016 and Information Handout and Sample Question Paper (after November 30, 2015) from the IRMA website. IRMA will send the Prospectus and Information Handout and Sample Question Paper to the applicants who have applied online

Fellowship: Every FPRM participant receives a fellowship of Rs. 14,000/- per month till they clear the Comprehensive Qualifying Examination and then Rs. 16,000/- per month and a contingency grant of Rs.20,000/- per year for a period of 4 years

  • Last Date of Submission of Application Form for hard copies: 24th December, 2015
  • Last Date for Online Registration: 31st December, 2015

Selection Process:

For Indian Nationals, IRMA will use CAT 2015 / XAT 2016 scores for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management 2016 - 18 (PRM 2016-18)
