IMS Design & Innovation Academy organised Annual Graduating Show “CONCEPT 2016”

IMS - Design & Innovation Academy (IMS DIA) one of the pioneering Design Institute of the country has recently organised their Annual Graduating Show “CONCEPT 2016”. The 2-day event has been organised at NDMC Convention Centre, Palika Kendra, Connaught Place, New Delhi to showcase the recent creations of the students principally accentuate on experiment, imagination and inspiration.

Over 65 students from graduating batches of Fashion Design, Textile Design, Jewellery Design and Interactive Multimedia & Animation showcased their creations in front of the Chief Guest Shri. Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Art & Culture, Govt. of Delhi and other prominent dignitaries present during the occasion. The show essentially brought students’ natural instinct and originality. Brilliance of student’s aesthetic yet innermost perspective that went into their creations has been extended a righteously deserved appreciation as well.

“Concept 2016” is a signature event of DIA which has been established as one of the most sought after events with the aspirants of design industry, as it provides a platform for students to showcase their flair, versatility and innovativeness through an extensive array of outfits & jewellery based on vast themes. It is the annual graduating show that showcases the creativity and ingenuity of the budding designers.

During this occasion, Ankur Gulati, Dean, Marketing and Branding at IMS DIA, said, & Concept 2016 represents the ideas, techniques and design aesthetics that were honed throughout our student’s time at DIA. It is the culmination of four years of learning and entwines the knowledge and skills to make a mark on the design world. We are proud to have students of such great caliber. IMS DIA students have access to one of the most comprehensive curriculum in design education in the country with the Design course offering hands-on training in not only designing but other aspects like textiles, Jewellery, Animation, etc. Students from different design domains were also awarded on the basis of innovation, practicality and execution in their projects.
