Eligibility

Admission eligibility varies depending on the program:

  • B.Tech.: Admission is through JEE Advanced.
  • Dual Degree Programs: Admission is through JEE Advanced.
  • M.Tech: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields with a minimum percentage of marks (generally 60%) and a valid GATE score.
  • M.Sc. and Ph.D.: A Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum percentage of marks (generally 60%) is required for M.Sc. by Research and Ph.D. programs. Entrance exams like GATE/UGC CSIR-NET may be required for some programs.

Admission Process

The admission process for most programs involves:

  1. Entrance Exam: Qualifying scores in JEE Advanced (for UG), GATE (for PG Engineering programs), UGC CSIR-NET (for PG Science programs) or other relevant exams as specified by the program.
  2. Shortlisting: Based on entrance exam scores, candidates are shortlisted for the next rounds.
  3. GD & PI (for some programs): Shortlisted candidates may be called for a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) to assess their communication, analytical skills, and suitability for the program.
  4. Final Merit List: The final selection is based on a composite score combining entrance exam scores, GD & PI performance (if applicable), and past academic record.
