IIPM Bangalore announces Professional Certificate Programme on Tea Tasting and Marketing (PCP-TTM) Admission 2016

Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bangalore invites applications for admissions to Professional Certificate Programme on Tea Tasting and Marketing (PCP-TTM) for the academic year 2016.

PCPTTM Admission is conducted by Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bangalore.

Courses Offered:

Professional Certificate Programme on Tea Tasting and Marketing (PCPTTM)

Duration:

=> 45 days intensive program, starting from 6th June (Monday) to 20th July (Wednesday) 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Graduate in any discipline, recognized by UGC/ AIUs/ Foreign Universities.

=> Proficiency in written and oral communication in English is essential.

=> Sponsored candidates by planters, plantation associations, Brokerages, tea manufacturers, tea buyers, Beverage sector and blenders will be given special consideration in eligibility norms.

=> NRI / PIO / Foreign students can also apply.

Filled-in application along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates, with relevant certificates) drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Plantation Management”, payable at Bangalore must be sent to MDP Office, Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Jnana Bharathi Campus, P.O. Fee Details:

Application Fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates, with relevant certificates)

The tuition fee for the program is Rs. 70,000/- (for National Candidates) and US$ 1175)

Selection Process:

Candidates will be assessed on the basis of interview, psychometric test and blind (sensory) test on tea tasting if required.

Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization of the plantation sector through management education and training, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990 to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation sector. Accordingly a blue-print for the Indian Institute of Plantation Management, (IIPM) Bangalore was prepared. This blue-print envisaged the Institute as a centre of excellence, to act as a think tank and an intellectual resource base for the plantation sector.
