Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing for the IIFT entrance exam 2019 must read the below mentioned criteria as follows:

  1. The candidate must have a bachelor degree from a recognized institution
  2. The candidates appearing in the final year of graduation can also apply for the exam
  3. There is no age limit to apply for the exam.

How to Apply

  1. The applicants have to login to the official website of the institute and click on “Apply Now” link. They also have to choose the category which they are applying- Click here
  2. They need to fill all the details as required for registration and submit it. On successful submission of the application form, an application number will be generated. The applicants are advised to note down that application number.
  3. The applicants will have to login again to the website using the generated application number & password. Now follow the links to complete the details as required.
  4. Now they need to choose the mode of payment. The application fee can be paid either through DD or through online mode via debit/credit card. In case of payment through DD, the applicants will have to update the details of the DD.
  5. Once the application fee is paid, the applicants will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph & signature in specified format (the size of both the images should not be more than 50kb each).
  6. The applicants are advised to cross check all the filled details to avoid discrepancies. If everything is correct then click on submit to confirm your candidature. The applicants should take the print out of the duly filled application form for future reference.
  7. The copy of online filled application forms has to be sent to IIFT. The applicants need to tear the application form along the dotted line & the bottom portion has to be send to IIFT. They also have to enclose these documents along with application form-
  8. In case of payment through DD, the DD with full name, address & application number on reverse side of the DD has to be enclosed.
    2 adhesive stickers, labels, name slips with applicant’s name & address written on it.
    A copy of requisite certificate, if belongs to foreign nationals/NRI/Children of NRI categories.
    A copy of GMAT score card, if belongs to foreign nationals/NRI/Children of NRI categories.

  9. Now the print out of the online filled application form has to be send along with required documents to undersigned through registered post/ speed post/ courier only at this address.

Exam Pattern

The candidates appearing for the IIFT 2019 exam, are advised to check the exam pattern as it will give the basic idea to the students about the exam like no. of questions, marking scheme, weightage of the questions asked in the exams etc. Below we have mentioned complete details regarding IIFT 2019 exam pattern.

The pattern of the IIFT exam changes every year so as per the previous year patter we have come up with the exam patter of the IIFT for the session 2019.

The question paper will be of objective type comprising of approx 125 questions. The question paper will be divided into 4 sections as mentioned below:

  • Quantitative Ability
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
  • Reading Comprehension and General Awareness
  • Verbal Ability

There is a separate marking scheme for every section and may change every year by the examination authority.

There is a provision of negative marking and candidates must remember that for every wrong answer 1/3rd marks allotted to the question will be deducted.

There was a total of 118 questions with a negative marking of 1/3rd of the total marks allotted to that question.


Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.


The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results.
