Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC -7 point scale.
- A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Differently- abled and other categories of candidates.
- Candidates who have qualified UGC NET(JRF)/ UGC-CSIR(JRF)/INSPIRE/ RAJIV GANDHI FELLOWSHIP / MAULANA AZAD FELLOWSHIP/ AWARDEES OF TEACHER FELLOWSHIP/SPONSORED BY ICSSR/ DBT-JRF, ICMR or ANY OTHER DEPARTMENT OF GOVT. OF INDIA.
Application Process
- Eligible Candidates can apply online through the official website https://hpuniv.ac.in/ and www.admissions.hpushimla.in
- Candidates will have an E-Mail ID, an active mobile number, scanned (photograph and signature) for filling the form.
- Applicants are required to fill all information required in different sectors like Education and Documents details. Application fee can be paid online through Debit/Credit card, internet banking.
- Before filling the application form read the instructions carefully and follow them strictly. Visit the University website for online submission of application forms.
Selection Process:
Admission to the respective PhD courses will be conducted through an entrance test. Details regarding the entrance test will be communicated to eligible candidates through admit cards in due time. The final merit list (selected and waiting list) will be compiled baand to apply online, pleasesed on the marks obtained in the entrance test.
