The Department of Agricultural Engineering was established in August 1988 in the College of Agriculture with the aims of teaching core courses at UG and PG level, conducting research in the field of Farm Power and Machinery, Soil and Water Engineering, Renewable Energy Sources, Post Harvest Engineering and to carry out the allied extension activities. To meet the requirement, Department has number of AICRPs and Ad-hoc projects. At present, 3 Professor of Agricultural Engineering ( One from Farm Machinery & Power and two from Soil, water & Conservation Engineering) and 1 Associate professor (Food Science) are engaged for effective implementation of Teaching, Research and Extension activities.
