Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE) invites applications for Haryana Diploma Entrance Test (Haryana DET) for the year 2023. Haryana Diploma Entrance Test (Haryana DET) is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to Diploma in Engineering in college of Haryana. Haryana Diploma Entrance Test (Haryana DET) is conducted by Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE).
Haryana DET (Haryana Polytechnic)
Admissions for Diploma Engineering including candidates under TFW scheme shall be made on the basis of the inter-se merit of Diploma Entrance Test (DET) and admissions for Diploma (Engineering) Lateral Entry shall be made on the basis of the inter-se merit of Lateral Entry Diploma Entrance Test (DET-L) through On-line Off-Campus counseling conducted by NIC from the session 2023.

Haryana DET Eligibility Criteria:
Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Passed 10th Std/ SSC Examination
=> Obtained at least 35% marks (33% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category or Kashmiri Migrants Category) at the qualifying exam
=> Compulsory pass in Maths and Science subjects in the qualifying examination
Basis of Admisions
The admision to Diploma (Eng.) courses wil be on the basis of DET – 2023 ranks based on inter-se Merit of DET–2023, DET-2023 shal be conducted of-line i.e. in paper-pencil mode. For candidates obtaining equal marks in DET – 2023 merits, the candidate with higher marks in Math in DET-2023 wil be placed at higher Rank. If the candidate has same marks in Math, the candidate having higher marks in Science wil be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math and Science, the candidate having higher marks in English wil be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in Math, Science and English the candidate having high marks in General Awarenes and Aptiude wil be placed at higher rank. For candidate having same marks in Math, Science, English and General Awarenes and Aptiude, senior in age wil be placed at higher Rank.
Eligibilty of DIPLOMA (ENGG.) – Lateral Entry
=> All those candidates who have pased ITI of atleast two years duration (after 10th), 10+2 (vocational) or
10+2 with Phyisics, Chemistry and Math (PCM) wil be eligible for consideration in various Diploma Enginering courses on the basis of merit/rank obtained in DET (L)-2023 only and as per the compatibilty of the courses as mentioned below.
=> The candidates who have pased 10+2 (Arts/ Commerce) wil be eligible for consideration in Non- Enginering Diploma Courses (Diploma in Busines Management, Industrial & Personal Management, Hotel Management, Finance, Acounts & Auditng, Library & Information Science and Ofice
Management & Computer Aplication).
=> Candidates who have pased 10+2 (Medical) wil be eligible for consideration in Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
=> Candidates who have completed Thre year diploma in particular branch would be eligible to take admision in 2nd year of a diferent branch through lateral entry.
