Eligibility

GBPUAT offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in agriculture and allied sciences. Some of the most popular programs include:

Undergraduate (UG) Courses:

  1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture: Applicants must have completed Intermediate in Agriculture/Science with Mathematics or Biology, or an equivalent examination. They should have achieved a minimum of 50% marks for the General Category and 47.5% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  2. B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science: Candidates should have passed Intermediate in Agriculture/Science with Mathematics or Biology, or an equivalent examination, with a minimum of 50% marks for the General Category and 47.5% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  3. B. V. Sc. & A.H.: Intermediate Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, or an equivalent examination, is required. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for the General Category and 47.5% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST) in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. For candidates educated abroad, passing Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology, and English up to the 12th Standard level with 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects is mandatory.
  4. B.F.Sc.: Intermediate Science with Biology or an equivalent examination is necessary. Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks for the General Category and 47.5% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  5. B.Tech. (Food Technology): Intermediate Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)/Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB), or an equivalent examination, is required. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for the General Category and 47.5% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  6. B.Tech. (Biotechnology): Intermediate Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)/Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB)/Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCMB), or an equivalent examination, is required. Applicants must have attained at least 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the above subjects taken together.
  7. B.Tech. in various engineering disciplines: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject/Computer Science/Information Technology/Informatics Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies. They should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the above subjects taken together.

Master’s Course

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.):

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination from any of the Universities recognized by the

AIU UGC or AICTE is required for admission. Provisional admission will be cancelled if this criterion is not met.

  • Undergraduate candidates awaiting final results can also apply by selecting the “Final Result Awaited” option and uploading a self-undertaking stating that they will provide the certificate to the institute during the personal interview.

M.B.A. in Agribusiness:

  • A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Chemicals, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Science/Technology, Fisheries, Food Science/Technology, Forestry, Home-Science/Community Science, Horticulture, Veterinary Science, or B. Tech (Biotechnology) is required for admission.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA):

  • Candidates should have completed BCA/B.Sc. with Mathematics from a recognized University, or B.Sc. (Information Technology), or B.Sc. in Computer Science for admission.

PhD Program

  • Masters’ Degree or equivalent in concerned disciplines with 55% marks.
  • At Master’s level only a relaxation of 5% marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed to those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled categories of candidates.

Application Process

  • Only ONLINE application form procedure is available. To submit application form candidates should log on to the portal: www.gbpuat.org.in of the University.
  • The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply provided they upload scanned copy of their marks-sheet at the time of online counselling failing which their candidature will not be considered for online counselling or seat allotment. 

Application Fee

  • For General/OBC : Rs. 1200.00
  • For SC/ST/PH : Rs. 600.00

Admission Procedure

  • All admissions shall be made strictly on merit as determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination to be conducted by University.
  • Admission to MBA/ MBA (Agribusiness) and Ph.D. (Management) shall be made through CAT/CMAT scores.
