GITAM Admission Test (GAT 2017) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG & PG Technology & Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru Campuses.

Eligibility Criteria

- Pass in Intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for B.Arch./B.Pharm.) in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognised Central / State Board or its equivalent either in
2016 or 2017 and Rank obtained in GAT(UGTP)-2017.

Note:
- Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. the program should qualify in NATA / JEE (Main).
- Candidates with Mathematics / Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects are eligible for B.Tech. Biotechnology (60% aggregate marks in group and First Class/equivalent grade) and B.Pharmacy.

M.Tech. Programs (Two Years)
- Pass in the Qualifying Examination from recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PGT) 2017. For details visit www.gitam.edu

M.Pharmacy Programs (Two Years)
- Pass in B.Pharmacy from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PGP) - 2017.

Application Fee

GAT Registration & Examination Fee Structure
The registration fee for GAT 2017 is Rs. 1,000/- for Boys and Rs. 600/- for Girls.

How to Apply

Candidates can apply in any one of the following methods:
i) Apply online at www.gitam.edu
ii) Applications can be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. Request for
applications by post will be accepted up to Last week of March 2017.
iii) Applications are also available throughout India in select branches of

- INDIAN BANK
- KARUR VYSYA BANK
The filled - in application along with Demand Draft for Rs.1,000/- (Rs.600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, GITAM UNIVERSITY, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam - 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA on or before 1st week of April, 2017.

Exam Cities

List of cities where GAT will be conducted in 2017. The University will conduct online admission test at the following 44 test centres. Details of Admission Test GAT (PGP) - 2017 M.Pharmacy Programs The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections.

Details of Admission Test GAT (UGTP) - 2016:
The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections:

All questions are objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks

Details of Admission Test GAT (PGT) - 2016:
The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections.

The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

Admit card download from university website.

The candidate should also download hall ticket from University official website.

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Results

The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results.

Counselling

The GITAM Admission Test (GAT) counselling process includes document verification, option entry, publishing of seat matrix, selection, seat allotment, fee payment and reporting to allotted college. Through counselling, the eligible candidates will be granted admission to various management courses at colleges and management Institutes of the GITAM university.

Counseling Fee

All the candidates who attend counselling have to pay an amount of Rs. 1,000/- as Counseling Fee (Non-Refundable) at the reception counter of the counselling centre irrespective of their selection for admission. The candidates can attend subsequent counselling for entry into the counselling centre for the same fee on production of fee receipt.

University Fee has to be paid at the counselling centre on allotment of the seat as per the following fee structure.
