Institute of Distance Education, University of Madras invites applications for admissions to correspondence PG Course for the academic year 2015 - 16.

Correspondence PG Course is conducted by University of Madras, Chennai

Courses Offered and Duration:

Distance Education course:-
MBA (General): 2 years

MBA in Apparel Mgt., Educational Mgt., Export Import Mgt., Financial Mgt., Hospital Mgt., Human Resource Mgt., Information Security Mgt., International Business Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Mgt., Marketing Management, Operations Mgt., Shipping and Port Mgt., Systems Management; Travel and Tourism Management

MBA (Integrated): 5-years [English Medium]

MBA (Executive): 1-year theory and 1-year project [English Medium]

MCA (Master of Computer Applications): 3 years [English Medium]

M.Sc (IT) - Master of Science in Information Technology: 2 years [English Medium]

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

MBA General (Two Years Semester with Credits):
Candidates required following qualifications under 10 + 2 + 3 pattern of education:
(i) A pass in any branch of study of a Bachelor Degree/Master Degree of the University of Madras or any other University recognised by the UGC/AIU or a qualification accepted by this University as equivalent thereto
(ii) A Professional Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine/Architecture/Law
iii) Professional qualification in Accountancy/Cost & Works Accountancy/Company Secretaryship

MBA Integrated (Five Years - Semester with Credits):
(i) The Pre-University Examination conducted previously by the University of Madras or any other University accepted as equivalent thereof by the authorities
(ii) The Higher Secondary Examination (Academic or Vocational Stream) conducted by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu or other States or Union Territories or an examination accepted as equivalent thereof by the authorities, University of Madras
(iii) There should be a minimum gap of two clear years between the date of appearance in the exam in which the candidate has passed the SSLC (Xth Std.) and Higher Secondary Examination (+2) or any other equivalent exam as prescribed in the Prospectus for joining the first year of degree course
(iv) The Indian School Certificate Examination (12 Years) conducted by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination held in 1977 or thereafter, provided that they have been declared to have attained the pass standard in the examinations in not less than 5 subjects of which English shall be one
(v) Those who have passed the 10+2 examinations of the National Open School, New Delhi

MBA-Executive (Two Years - Semester with Credits):
A graduate in any discipline of recognized University / deemed university under 10+2+3 pattern of education with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in managerial/supervisory/executive cadre in business/industry in private or public sector or in government/semi government/quasi government institutions

MCA (Three Years - Semester with Credits):
(i) BCA/B.E.S./B.Sc in Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Applied Sciences (OR)
(ii) B.Com/Bachelor of Bank Management/BBA/BLM/BA Corporate Secretaryship/BA Economics/any other Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Business Mathematics and Statistics or Mathematics/Statistics in Main / Allied level (OR)
(iii) B.Sc Chemistry with Mathematics and Physics as allied subject (OR)
(iv) BE/B.Tech/MBA (OR)
(v) A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subject at the Higher Secondary level (i.e. in +2 level of the 10+2 pattern)

M.Sc IT (Two Years - Semester with Credits):
A Candidate who has passed any Bachelor’s degree of not less than three years duration under 10+2+3 pattern having studied Mathematics or Statistics or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics or Mathematical Physics as Main or Allied subject from University of Madras or from any other University accepted as equivalent thereto
