Department of Economics, University of Calcutta, Kolkata invites applications for admissions to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) for the academic year 2015 - 16.

M.Phil Admission is conducted by University of Calcutta, Kolkata

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Any candidate who has passed the M.A/M.Sc examination in Economics of this university with 55% marks in aggregate (SC/ST with 50% marks) or with 60% marks in aggregate of any other recognized university is eligible to apply.

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. published details for informational purpose.

Downloaded application forms completed in all respects along with proof of payment of Rs.500/- for General & Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PWD category by CU challan or SBI challan will be received by the office of the Secretary, University College of Arts and Commerce (UCAC) College Street Campus, Asutosh Building, Ground Floor, Room No. 3G by the concerned Faculty Office.

M.Phil Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

  • Last Date of Submission of Application Form: Monday, June 22, 2015
  • Date of Examination M.Phil 2015: Friday, July 10, 2015
  • Date of interview : Thursday, July 30, 2015 and Friday, July 31, 2015.

Selection Process:

=> Selection will be on the basis of an entrance test followed by an interview.
