University of Calcutta announces PhD Programme in Neuroscience Admission 2015

S. N. Pradhan Centre for Neurosciences invites applications for PhD Programme in Neuroscience for the year 2015.

PhD Programme in Neuroscience Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Master’s Degree or equivalent (minimum qualification) in the appropriate branch.

Application Procedure for PhD Programme in Neuroscience:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. published details for informational purpose.

=> Candidates willing to pursue research work leading subsequently to the Ph. D. (Sc.) degree in Neuroscience, University of Calcutta, should apply in plain paper in the format attached herewith (downloadable from University Website, admission notification) to the head of the Department, after paying Rs.100/- to the University cash counter through a challan available from the university Sales Counter of the C.U. College Street Campus. A photocopy of the challan of RET examination fee deposited by the candidate must be attached to the application of the candidate for the RET. Candidates are also requested to submit a document (not exceeding 1000 words) containing personal statement and research interest.

=> The eligible candidate will have to appear at a written MCQ examination to be held at the S. N. Pradhan Centre for Neurosciences, the details of which are appended below. Successful candidates will be called for an interview. The final selection for joining the Ph. D program of this department along with the allocation of supervisor will be made on the basis of this interview.

=> Those candidates who have already passed UGC-CSIR (JRF) NET/SET/SLET/GATE/ Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examination need not appear for the written test. However, they are to submit a complete application including the personal statement (1000 word) document. Attested copies of all testimonials must be submitted by the candidate along with the application for it to be considered complete in all respects.
