University of Allahabad notifies Admission for PhD courses 2015

University of Allahabad invites applications for admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) for the academic year 2015 - 16.

Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) at University of Allahabad

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) is conducted by University of Allahabad.

Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC)/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

=> Candidates for D.Phil in the Dept. of Electronics and Communication with M.Tech/M.E in Electronics Engineering or equivalent subjects or M.Tech/ME in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent Subjects.

=> Candidates for D.Phil in the Dep. of Earth and Planetary Sciences with M.Tech in Geology/Applied geology or Geo-Physics who have valid GATE score before the last date of applying for CRET and have a GATE score of not less than 75%.

Application Procedure:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. published details for informational purpose.

=> A candidate who fulfils the minimum Eligibility Criteria and seeks to appear in CRET-2015 in a Subject that is available and is also admissible to him/her must complete, and submit through the Internet, as per modality and schedule set out in the following paras, the prescribed Online Application/Registration Form for appearing for the Level 1 Test /Level 2 Test /Level 3 Test (as the case may be) at CRET-2015 in the concerned/admissible Subject and must remit, within due time, the prescribed Test Fees to the University

=> The candidate is strongly advised to familiarize himself/herself with the Schedule for different processes/stages of CRET-2015

Fee Details:

Test Fees for candidates required to appear for (Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Tests) or (Level 2 and Level 3 Tests)
For General/OBC: Rs.1000/-
For ST/SC/PH/VH: Rs.500/-

Test fees for candidates exempted from the Level 1 and Level 2 Tests, and required to appear only for the Level 3 Test
For General / OBC- Rs.500/-
For ST/SC/PH/VH: Rs.250/-
It should be noted that the Test Fees shall not be refunded or carried over in case the application of the candidate is rejected, or his/her candidature is cancelled at any stage, or he/she does not appear wholly or partially for CRET-2015

  • Last Date for Online Registration: 10th August 2015
