Rajendra Agricultural University notifies PhD Programme Admission 2015

Rajendra Agricultural University, Samastipur invites applications for PhD Programme for the year 2015.

PhD Programme is conducted by Rajendra Agricultural University, Samastipur.

PhD Programme Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates possessing the minimum eligibility qualifications, i.e. mentioned in section V shall be eligible for admission to the respective Ph.D. programme, provided they fulfill the following conditions and qualify in the written test and secure a place in the merit list.

a) 65% marks or OGPA 6.5/10 in Masters degree programme in the subject concerned (SC & ST candidate should have secured 60% marks or OGPA 6.0/10 in the subject concerned).

b) The cut off marks for admission to Ph.D. programme in the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in entrance examination and
academic marks will be 40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for others (Unreserved, BC, EBC, and RCG candidates).

Application Procedure for PhD Programme:

Candidates are advised to refer to official notifications /documents for detailed application procedure. published details for informational purpose.

=> A candidate can apply for admission to only one subject. No change would be allowed thereafter.

=> The application form along with Admit Card, self-addressed envelope bearing postal stamps of Rs. 25/- only, and filled neatly and correctly by the applicant should be forwarded with necessary sets of attested copies of the documents viz. High School Certificate as a proof of date of birth, mark sheet of 10th, 12th, Bachelor and Master Degree Examinations and Caste certificate if applicable so as to reach the Registrar, Rajendra Agricultural University, Bihar, Pusa (Samastipur)-848 125 on or before the last date i.e. 12.05.2015 by Registered Post/speed post. Any application received after the last date shall not be entertained. If any date is declared as holiday, next working date will be effective date (only for sale and submission of application form). University shall not be responsible for any postal delay.

=> The candidate who is appearing in the Masters Degree Examination is also eligible to apply provisionally for admission and appear in the Competitive Test Examination. However, he/she must submit the PDC and transcript/ Mark sheet on or before 10.07.2015, positively in the office of the Registrar, RAU, Pusa.

Candidates are required to submit following Documents:
Candidate must enclose attested copies of the following certificates (whichever is applicable) and documents in the order indicated below. The candidature of the candidate who fails to attach Xerox copies of certificates will not be considered. If selected, candidate has to submit original certificates at the time of counselling.
(a) Proof of date of birth
(b) Matriculation (Class X) or equivalent certificate and marks sheet.
(c) 10+2/ Intermediate Examination certificate and marks sheet
(d) Bachelor Degree Certificate and marks sheet/transcript
(e) Master Degree Certificate and marks sheet/transcript
(f) Caste Certificate (if applicable)
(g) Character certificate

List of documents to be submitted at the time of interview / discussion before departmental research committee:

Candidates called for counselling will be required to submit their relevant documents in original as given below with one attested photocopy of the certificates/marks sheet.
(1) High School/equivalent examination mark sheets as well as certificates with proof of age.

(2) Intermediate/equivalent examination mark sheets.

(3) Bachelor degree examination mark sheet/Transcript and Provisional Degree Certificate or degree certificate.

(4) Master Degree Examination Mark sheet/Transcript/ Degree certificate

(5) Caste certificate issued by the District Magistrate/SDO/CO (in case of candidates claiming reservation.)

(6) Character Certificate from Head of the Institution last attended.

(7) Conversion formula for conversion of OGPA into percentage of marks and vice versa adopted by the University from where candidate has obtained degree certificate Counselling does not guarantee admission. It depends on merit and availability of seats in a particular discipline. In case, candidates fail to attend the counselling on the prescribed date & time, his/her candidature shall automatically be rejected.
Note : No separate letter will be issued for attending the counselling.

Selection Process:

Results will be announced on 17.07.2015.
