Punjab Joint Entrance Test (PJET) 2015 Notification and Exam Date

The Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh invites applications for Punjab Joint Entrance Test (PJET) for the year 2015.

Punjab Joint Entrance Test (PJET) is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to diploma courses in the institutions (located in Punjab and Chandigarh -UT) affiliated to the Punjab State Board Of Technical Education And Industrial Training.

Punjab Joint Entrance Test (PJET) is conducted by The Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh.

Punjab JET 2015 (Joint Entrance Test-2015) will be conducted by the Board for admission to various diploma courses which are being offered or proposed to be offered in the Institutions. The admission to the Institutions will be based on the JET merit category wise. Reservation shall be as per reservation policy of Govt. of Punjab/UT Chandigarh.

Punjab JET Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> The test shall be open to candidates who have passed the matriculation or equivalent examination in Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English from State Board /central Board i.e. CBSE/ICSE/National Open School or from any other country.

=> A candidate who has appeared for the qualifying examination but whose result has not been declared shall be admitted provisionally to JET.

Application Procedure for Punjab JET:

The JET Application Form (also referred to as OMR Form) complete in all respects should be enclosed in the envelop supplied with the form and submitted at affiliated polytechnic institutions and at the Board’s Office on or before Last Date of submission of Application Form

1. Registration Charges (one time) * 500.00
Collection on behalf of Institute
2. Tuition Fee (half yearly) 11,000.00
3. Refundable Security (one time) 500.00
4. Development Fund (yearly) 3,650.00
5. Student Activities fund (yearly) 2,235.00
6. Student Activites fund (one time) 265.00
Grand Total 18,150.00

Fee for CCET and GPW, Chandigarh Rs. 5,025/-

JET-2015 Scheme

JET-2015 will have one paper of 200 questions (English-40, General awareness and Aptitude-40, Mathematics-40, Physics- 40, Chemistry-40).
The question paper will have multiple choice objective type questions only. There will be no negative marking in the JET. The objective type questions shall be answered on a pre-printed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet. The candidate is required to mark his/her responses as per
instructions given on the OMR answer sheet.
