Post Graduate Certificate in Thermal Power Plant Engineering (PGCTPPE) is conducted by Power Systems Training Institute (PSTI), Bangalore

PGCTPPE Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

=> Candidates shall be Bachelor degree in Engineering or its equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation and Power Engineering.

=> Those appearing in their final year examination may also apply. This course can also be attended by the Junior and Middle Level Manager/Executives/Officers as sponsored candidates.

=> Syllabus for the program has been designed based on Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to safety and Electric Supply), Regulations, 2010.

=> Attending this 12 weeks course will help the candidates in acquiring good knowledge and skill or Thermal Power Plant Practices and there by increases their opportunities for getting placement in the Power Sector.

Mode of Examination

PGCTPPE is Computer Based Test (CBT).

1975: The LDTI was renamed as “Power Systems Training Institute” (PSTI) to cover other facets of power system operation also. 2002: W.e.f April, 2002 PSTI is merged with NPTI. Power Systems Training Institute (PSTI) is conducting high quality training courses in various facets of power systems since 1972. It is an established name in the Indian power sector. PSTI is located in its own 18 acre campus with office buildings, Laboratories, hostel, Guest house, Canteens and Residential colony. The Institute is headed by a Principal Director.
