Eligibility Criteria
For the PhD program:
General Eligibility:
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree from a recognized University or any other qualification deemed equivalent by the University. Specific educational qualifications are outlined in Clause 2 of the Ph.D. Regulations. A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying examination is required. For SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates, a minimum of 50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10-point scale is acceptable. Educational Qualification:
For a Ph.D. Degree in Engineering/Technology:
Candidates must hold an M.E./M.Tech./M.S. (By Research) in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology. For a Ph.D. Degree in Science and Humanities: Candidates should possess an M.Sc./M.S. (By Research) in the relevant branch of Science and Humanities, or an M.C.A./M.A. in English/Communication/Mass Communication/Journalism/Media Arts. For a Ph.D. Degree in Management Sciences: Candidates must have completed an MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management or Administration awarded by an Indian Institute of Management (IIM), or an M.S. (By Research) in Management Sciences. For a Ph.D. Degree in Architecture and Planning: Candidates must hold an M.Arch./M.Plan./M.S. (By Research) in Architecture and Planning.

- The candidates have to submit the hardcopy of applications on or before 31.03.2024.
- Applications from eligible Candidates employed in industries/Firms/Institutions are also invited.
- Applications submitted after the due date will be rejected.
Application Fee
- General Category candidates – Rs.1000 + GST(18%)
- Tamil Nadu SC/ST/SCA candidates – Rs.600 + GST(18%)
- Other State SC/ST candidates – Rs.1000 + GST(18%)
- Mode of Payment : Through online
Selection Process
- The Centre for Research will review the applications according to the eligibility criteria, and the Centre for Entrance Examinations will administer the written test for eligible candidates.
- Candidates must achieve a minimum of 50% marks, as specified by the University, in the written test to qualify for the interview process.
- The final selection of candidates for Ph.D. admission will be based on the overall marks obtained by the candidate in the written test (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage).
Fellowship amount
- Anna Research Fellowships are offered for meritorious scholars admitted in CEG, ACTECH, MIT and SAP campuses. The Fellowship Amount is Rs. 31,000 + 24% HRA
